Im beyond exhausted... Emotionally and physically exhausted. But - TopicsExpress

Im beyond exhausted... Emotionally and physically exhausted. But as I reflect on this past week, I cant help but be eternally thankful. I live in a time and place where I have multiple resources available to care for my kids. Who could possibly feel bad for themselves when thinking of the alternative? The virus our son has coupled with the ridiculous allergy season that has begun, put him into an asthma episode that we could not get him out of. Oils helped tremendously, but they were not enough. Meds helped some more, but they were not enough. A second protocol of meds provided temporary relief, but it was not enough. And a trip to the chiropractor seemed to finally push him into a an upward climb. Can you imagine what this would look like any where else? Or if I didnt have access to oils or doctors or meds or a chiropractor? He is needing them all. I cant even fathom what he would face if even one was missing. We are so blessed! I mean he lost a pound from Friday to Monday because of the workout from the cough. He was still eating. It was all from the cough. A pound is a big deal to lose in 3 days when you are only starting with 53 of them. My poor sweet boy. Whats truly crazy is that my daughter started in with the cough a couple of days ago. We started using oils for her and her body is rebounding nicely. Im pretty sure she is going to do much better than our son. (She doesnt have asthma.) The biggest lesson Ive learned is that you have to be proactive in your healthcare. The number of frightening things that have happened and have been suggested in the last few days have strengthened my quest to be proactive. My research and awareness kept my kid from taking incorrect scripts from 2 different pharmacies. The fact that I insisted he be seen again yesterday caught that his oxygen levels were still dropping. (Pulse ox Friday: 94, Saturday: 96, Monday: 91 even after 2 neb treatments at the doctors office!) And my belief and persistence in using the oils led me to new protocols that are helping him to function. Praise God for the many resources we have available. And praise God that He convicted me long ago to be an advocate for my familys healthcare.
