Im calling out to the Mechanics and car enthusiasts out there. A few weeks ago, my engine developed a knocking noise when I got off the freeway over by Parkside. I let the car sit for a while and the noise went away. The next morning, on my way to school, it started fine but when I got through the wash on 40th Street, it started knocking/ticking again. I decided to try and make it to school where I could have my Auto Shop teacher look at it ,but it died when I was sitting at a stop sign and would not start again. I had it towed back to the house and I found that the distributor cap was loose and the timing was completely off. I screwed with it for a while and got it to start but the knocking hasnt gone away. Ive been told it may be a lifter, valve, push rod, rod bearing, or main bearing. Doesnt really narrow it down too much haha. So if you could watch the video and tell me if you have any idea what it is, that would be great. Thanks guys ! PS - Sorry for the crappy video, it was just kind of spur of the moment.
