Im confused at how anyone can attempt to vilify (1) someone who put their life over another persons, (2) followed the ONLY current protocols we have during these situations, and (3) was *not* told to not board a flight. At this rate, everyone is panicking and simply looking for a scapegoat and a person to point fingers. Sadly, our beloved fellow Kent State alum, #AmberVinson, is that easy target, despite her being good enough to care for patients with Ebola. Nurses naturally put their lives on the line, and THIS is how we treat them. Not by having discussions on how to change national standards? Not by having dialogue about prevention without marginalizing already marginalized groups? BUT THIS? Instead of wondering why?! - particularly because that wont change facts - can we make an intention waterfall by sending up positive thoughts for her health? And could we also direct our focus to agencies like the CDC about universal standards? Now, that would be wonderful. Again, Amber, (many of) your Kent State family is with you. We cant imagine what you must be going through but we are absolutely lifting you in high spirits and energy.
