Im confused by the attributing of divine intervention for disasters. On my news feed this morning, someone posted a thing about a dog crawling from tornado wreckage and said God is great. I dont understand this. Youre attributing the survival of a dog to God, with the clear implication that God intervened to save this dog. How about the dead people? How about the towns and homes and businesses that were wiped out? Did God ignore them? Did God choose not to save them? Or, more likely, did God really have nothing at all to do with any of that? Or alternatively, since youre of the mind that God, in fact, does daily tidbits like sheltering dogs from bad weather, what about that dog made him more important than, say, the thousands of dogs that died of starvation, the thousands of children that did the same, or the black rhino that just went extinct? Honestly, please explain this. You might enjoy this conversation Dan Folino
