Im considering the irony of the two phrases Ive come to embrace. Never give up. Let it go. Does that not seem contradictory? Seemingly, but, no. They actually work in unison. Never giving up requires hope. So does letting go. The true art of letting go requires faith, which is hopeful expectation even in the darkest moments. It is the ability to hope, trust and believe even when death is breathing down your neck. In letting go, we are actually not giving up. Letting go of our expectations of self and others means never giving up on God. When full trust is in Him, we are empowered to let go of everything. Or perhaps in the letting go we will truly come to trust Him. If youre tempted to give up, just give in instead. Give into Him. Your ear to His chest. Your heart beating with His...He is in you, after all. And youre in Him, right? (John 14:20) Never give up. Let it go. Two actions that involve hope. Jesus is the Master of turning our contradictions into perfect union. Its all perspective. When Hes our perspective, nothing makes sense, while making total sense all at once. Have I confused you? Let it go. And never give up on me.😄😄😄😉
