Im cooking dinner for Alejandro whos on his computer. Me cooking is a rare thing but Im making chili - its one of the few things that I can make that has some flavor. Toby (the dog) is snoozing away after a long walk through Kensington. I feel such deep contentment. I decide to put on Van Morrisons Moondance album, something I havent listened in forever. Suddenly Im a kid in my childhood kitchen. I can clearly see my beautiful mom Denise making dinner and singing along. And I imagine her feeling the same contentment in that moment as I am now.
