Im curious to hear other peoples opinions on this matter.. its not cause I take all opinions into account but I am very curious on known how others would deal with this situation. My 8year old son has been asking me lately what making his communion entails... I simply told him that everyone has different beliefs... whether it be a god or higher power above etc... if your choice in life is to believe that theirs a god, then god expects you to follow his path by going to church & praying on a regular basis.. he simply replied: Im not sure if I believe theirs a god, so why would i make a promise to someone im unsure about that im gonna go to church every sunday etc..I dont want t make my communion even if it does mean im getting loads of money my first initial thought was what a wise child..... I do believe everyone should have d right to their own choices, regardless of their age.. Once your clear they have a good understanding of whats going on.. Iv made a choice that im not gonna make my child do something he doesnt wanna do... nor am I gonna turn a blind eye and pretend this conversation didnt happen. Whats your take on it?
