Im curious to hear what some of you think about this topic. ... I joke around about my provenance, often in ways that make some people uncomfortable, but I do not like the label: white trash. I probably deployed it a few times in my clueless, insolent youth, but having been called it in earnest, in a way that was meant to devastate (and it hit the bulls-eye), I dont use it, or its equivalents -- trailer trash, etc. I dont cotton to the notion that any human being is trash, even in jest. ...
