Im delighted to say that Wednesday night, violin virtuoso Lara St. John and pianist Serouj Kradjian will be playing my variations on the Palestinian folk song Ah Ya Zein near Kingston, which Lara commissioned me to write last year. It has special meaning for me because its a song my mom used to sing for us when we were kids. I have to admit, I just like looking at the words on the programme.
