Im dipping my toe into the real world before my copy editor returns the manuscript. And by dipping my toe, I mean Im walking 21 kms as a casual walker in the Kerikeri Marathon on Saturday. YIKES. My sister asked me six months ago and because it was a very, very long way forward I said, Yeah, sure. See, I thought Id train, get fitter, do all that good stuff. ONLY. I ended up doing revisions on RISE based on feedback from beta readers, which took three solid weeks of...mostly sitting. Weekends, I landscaped a new house project. Lots of digging, planting, barrowing, kneeling. Now my knee is playing up as well. To sum up, dont try this at home. So Im going walking, people. Pray for me. Expect photos after the weekend (of the starting line anyway).
