Im disappointed with the audio I heard of Cliven Bundys obvious racist statements that were shared across the nations air waves. I am a prospector and follow stories of disputes, ideology and political nonsense regularly. Although I followed the story and shared some links to updates on it- I was merely sharing updates. Todays audio is a black eye to those of us who care, honestly. It really is discouraging. I enjoy BLM land. My friends and I follow the rules and laws that are established. If we see someone litter, well speak up. Hey, we wont enjoy this freedom if the land is ruined. Respect what we have here. When in the desert, we dont touch desert tortoises. If you pick one up- in fear it will discharge its water and dehydrate and die. So, while interested in the basics of the Bundy case, the BLM and the Feds do over reach. Theyve built a solar power plant and evicted 100s of desert tortouises- that had to be picked up. Regardless of sides and whos a better steward, I draw the line at stupidity. Bundys racist statements put a stain on everyone who support outdoor activities. The Feds have screwed themselves by double standard. Pissed off at both. Sorry, Im not benign.
