Im doing my best. I was a stay at home mom for 17 and a half yrs. I owned my own business when I met Dsve, I was training figure skaters for off ice training. I trained off ice for for the Jr National Figure Skating Championships in 2000 and 01. I have a sports medicine degree, I was a personal trainer. I was coaching speed skating and loving it. My life was on a roll. I dropped everything to stay home. Came to Bemidji, tried to live Olympism and serve my community. I volunteered putting on the US National Marathon for speed Skating three yrs in a row. I raised my kids. Not finished yet. I am sick and tired of people thinking I cant do this. Just because I was thrown into this work place in this town does not define me. I suddenly was left alone. Yes I am a dry cleaner. I love my job. Its creative, and you care. Its a lost skill actually. I am the only dry cleaner from here to Park Rapids and Fosston. I find it fascinating. Each garment is a personality in fibers. Yes I am a public school bus driver, if I pass my test my driving test tomorrow. Im working so hard. I am tired. Did I ask to be suddenly thrown into divorce and suddenly make my way in Bemidji when I belong in Roseville, Milwaukee, Salt Lake or Butte? No. Its not my dream. So anyone who wants to make me feel less then I am. It cant happen because I was a silly little waitress that never speedskated, out of shape at 22 , with a dream of being an Olympian. I started with everyone laughing at me and saying I couldnt. Well , that didnt work out. I made that Olympic team. I was US Champion.I am sick of disgusting people trying to define my life based on mediocrity and they have no idea, none. I strive greater. So shut up and watch. Sorry, just dealing with weak criticism from weak people lately that to try think they are the be all and end all....in this small town.
