Im doing what seems like the only thing Ive done for the past year.. Sitting in my truck, reflecting. . Tonight is over the burial of a friend, and the year anniversary that I lost a brother. Saturday I went to College Station to scope out a new home, hang out with my brothers, and watch the A&M game.. Then I got the news about Cody.. Someone I didnt know very long, but felt like I knew pretty well.. When I was getting into boxing at a very young age, my coach told me that you dont really know somebody until you fight them.. Its almost 100% true.. I gained a whole new respect for my friend Jacob Samuelson after we got in an epic brawl in that ring.. Even at that age, my first lifelong bond was created. After growing older and finding my different loves for certain things, I realized it doesnt take a fight.. It takes a passion. . I can ride with somebody and learn just as much about them without saying a word. See, it takes a different mindset to get on a death trap. And its a mindset you cant understand unless youre blessed with it. Any time the world loses one of these people, it sends a shock wave through the community. Theres a reason for that. My heart goes out to the Mills family and to everyone who knew Cody.. Another person who never met a stranger has gone to be with Jesus.. A great rider and a great man.. RIP As for Caleb, Im out of words for the moment. . I loved him.. I still do.. and theres not a day that goes by where I dont wish I couldnt take his place..
