Im excited to announce that the East Montclair\East Colfax neighborhood has been chosen as one of Denvers neighborhoods for residents to receive trees for planting at the low cost of $10! Additional information on applications and the program are on the links below. Applications will be available at the East Montclair neighborhood association meeting on January 20th. Applications are due by February 15th but trees are based on limited availability so the sooner you getting your application the better. Applications can also be found on their website! ------------------------------------------------------- Apply Now for Low-Cost Street and Yard Trees through Denver Digs Trees! The Park People’s Denver Digs Trees program is accepting applications for low-cost trees. Trees may be planted along the street in the public right-of-way and on private property. Trees are $10 each in 27 low canopy ‘target’ neighborhoods and $35 each throughout the rest of the City of Denver – a significant savings from typical nursery retail ($80-$125). Residents facing financial hardship may request a ‘Treeship’ to receive trees for free. Application deadline: February 15. Availability is limited and this is the only city-wide low-cost tree distribution for 2015, so apply today. Visit: TheParkPeople.org for more information and to apply.
