Im experimenting in the kitchen, canning bean soup. The experiment involves the measurement of the ingredients. Well see how they come out, after theyve processed in the canner. I prepared 4 quart jars for the first test. To EACH jar, I added: 1 1/2 cups of PRE-COOKED navy beans (about 20 minutes). 1/4 cup of diced onion, 1/4 cup diced celery and 1/4 cup diced carrots. 3/4 tsp of salt to each jar. 1/8 of a tsp of onion powder and garlic powder. A pinch of basil. Covered with water, leaving a 1/2 headspace. Theyre in the pressure canner now. I pray Allah they come out successfully. :)
