Im feeling deeper emotion today than usual. I yearn for a day when people care about listening to others for the sake of better knowing how to include them. I see the opposite. I see people listening for the sake of excluding others. Yesterday a pastor that I know posted that she questions the veracity of a Christian if they are continually upbeat. The statements indicated that such a public demeanor indicates lack of awareness of injustice and suffering. I used to participate in formal peace and justice movements. The main reason that I stopped was due to the tendency to look for people to point to and declare, She is a phony. She is not as committed as us. It doesnt have to be that way. It really doesnt. You can make fun of me if you wish. That is out of my control, but I have feelings. No human has ever lived, or ever will live, who is so shallow as to be fully known by external appearance. (Facebook is external appearance.)
