Im feeling pretty happy cos I decided to go for a walk late this morning, to strengthen up the old back, got half way and saw an injured Lorikeet. He was struggling to stand up, my guess is he flew into a passing Bus (bus had only just gone by a minute before) Could I leave it there? I murmured to him Why Me? Picked it up with tissues and put it in a box with a wire cover over the top, which the bird could get out. Just wanted to keep is safe from Cats. Said a prayer, kept an eye on it, hand fed it water, and let it rest. Looked at it 4pm and it was up and about, looked at me, then it crawled thru the wire cover and flew up to that beautiful blue sky. I felt great. I didnt want to see it suffering, thought it would die actually and thought it could do so without cats attacking it.
