Im finding it less and less likely that you can truly live in the moment and not make any mistakes along the way. We all want to stay in the moment, but if were truly engaged in those moments, choices are being thrust at us from multiple directions all the time, and its just a matter of probability that at some point were going to make a wrong choice. I suppose that if we all want to elevate our consciousness to the ultimate level we will have to accept that living in the moment comes with some pain. We may hurt someones feelings; we might betray a trust or find ourselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, so we must accept the reality that people will occasionally disappoint us and we will occasionally disappoint them. My hope is that my relationships are not so fragile that they cant withstand the occasional bump to my ego or the straining of some unknown boundaries. Im trying now to avoid the need to blame or find closure as it focuses on the mistakes themselves and not on what I can learn from them and how we move forward or help each other move forward. The most interesting people I know are hopelessly flawed, and I mean that in the most complimentary way.. Their imperfections and quirks are what I find so compelling and attractive. If we want those type of people in our lives we have to accept the likelihood that this person may kick us in the balls once in awhile and its part of the price of admission to the spectacularly colorful performance that they invite us to so often.
