Im for this notion that white ppl and those that hv benefited wrongly through apartheid must make some kind of amends. Wat I struggle with & Im sure white ppl that r behind ths democracy wud also struggle with the content of this notion. Wat r we saying? that ppl shud sell their possessions & give to the poor? That thy shud retire from their places of work to open up positions for blacks? That thy shud go teach @ local schools in the wknd? & all 4 wat, retribution? I think this is tough to understand @ an individual level apart from adhering to affirmative action and BEE policy and social works now and again ppl simple dont know wat to do to make amends and its frustrating everyone because thing r not that black and white.
