Im getting just a little bit peeved at the people posting negative comments about the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I did it, friends did it, many celebrities did it. And just so you know, most people who took this challenge, made a donation as well. Hopefully, everyone who did it had good intentions and were trying to help raise money by gaining the attention of the media for ALS. The disease is real, it is not funny and there is no cure. If, in some small way, our collective silliness helps bring the much needed funding for further research to cure this awful disease, and helps those fighting it right now, I will be thrilled. I dont even want to hear about how we are all wasting water and how bad we are. Did you flush your toilet today? Yeah, thought so. I am old enough to remember the last drought we had here in California, funnily that was with the same governor we have now...There was an ugly catch phrase going around, something about mellow yellow...But, I digress... And yet, we survived. My suggestion is just this, quit pointing fingers and looking for a reason to complain and try helping others. After all, that really IS what this was all about.
