Im getting pretty fed up with all of the cop bashing, just as i got pretty fed up with all of the priest bashing a few years ago. Im also feed up with people misusing their power, cops and priests alike. There are always going to be a few bad apples in every profession, but there are so many more good ones! When my mother disappeared the police officers and detective did everything they could to get her back to us. They helped us through the process they were the ones that helped her to the hospital and stay calm when she was scared and confused. They knew she would be combative and they treated her with kindness and respect. They were compassionate and caring with us when they found out the whole story. They saw through the lies and manipulation that so many others were believing and they played a major role in making sure she was safe and getting back to stability. Without the police I believe she would still be gone. She would still be getting substandard care at the hands of the person that she thought she could trust. Today Im thankful for cops, and detectives, and judges, and heck throw in ems people too. Because THEY have helped us and still are.
