Im given to understand that Pizza Hut has a handful of restaurants in Russia, where it is known as Пицца Хат. I have no reliable way to test this hypothesis, but I am tempted to suspect that some Russians with a cursory familiarity with English may interpret this name to mean Pizza Hat, which I further submit would be supported by the ambiguous shape of the companys logo (identical to the one used in the States except that the name is rendered in Cyrillic script). It would be naive to imagine that any Russian would actually speculate that Americans have special hats for making or eating pizza, but if I had one, I would wear it.
