Im glad to see we are all still here, Because I hold my Carly so very dear. Shes always been my Itty Bit Right from the beginning she was a big hit. Born in a hospital the city of St. Paul, Mother in the hospital 3 months waiting for the big haul. I should have know right from the beginning something was up, Messing with my mind right from the start-up. Sent down to Texas still just a little thing, No Angel here--certainly no wings. A little Devil with a heart of gold, Head strong, stubborn and very bold. She liked her animals all kinds and sorts, Didnt matter if they bark, meow or snorts. Made us keep a found dog by the name of Lamar, Took us weeks to get rid of the fleas in the car. Bringing home lizards, bugs and all kinds of critters, Putting her gold fish in the shitter. She thought it needed more room to swim, When Eric pull the handle you hated him. It didnt matter what it was, It became your friend and was a just cause, Sometimes I couldnt help you even with a hug, Like that time the fire ants got your pet slug. You were messy, dirty and could live in a shed, Now no dirt on the shoes you wouldnt be caught dead. Everything has to be just right, When you were young you were a scary sight. All you wanted was toys, dolls and sleds, And then for Christmas INSIST on a canopy bed. It took me days to paint the thing all neat and white, Hours to put up the canopy all white and bright. I regret a lot not giving you more, I wasnt the Dad you had in store. You deserved more than what I gave, I would have understood if you just gave me the wave. But you stood behind me waiting for me, To become the Dad you knew I could be. I cant tell how much that means, To a man like me--How many years left to be seen. What Im feeling here no words can explain, But what Im saying is very plain. I LOVE YOU CARLY and ALWAYS WILL, No Doomsday here on 12-21-2012
