Im going out on a limb with this one and I know im gonna get my hands slapped for this but I know there are many who feel the same way and whats the point of having a voice if I dont use it (other than for singing) So youre part of an international brand of magazines for women. Throwing an AWESOME party celebrating women of style and substance blah blah ooooooh... BUT you want to offer me a TOKEN fee to perform, with some editorial. Who else is getting tired offers like this. Editorial should not be used as a bartering tool. My story, your angle, my angle, provides you with content for your readership and exposure for me no doubt ie. mutually beneficial. On the flip, the TOKEN fee you offer is rather one sided in terms of gain and therefore is NOT mutually beneficially. Your token fee does not near cover my prep time, make up, wardrobe, travel, rehearsals etc. It is NOT a TOKEN fee - it is an INSULT... to my artistry, to my commitment and to ME. OR.... I could practise at home while watching TV, come in my pyjamas with a mask on and sing a capella I guess I guess it also means you do not see ME as a Woman of style or SUBSTANCE. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Thing is though, Im actually not available on that date (seriously) Not Hangry, just saying *skipsawaywithasmilewhileexpectingphonecallandincomingreprimand*
