Im going to be somewhat contrarian today. If you havent spent any time before today to understand whos running for office, or what issues are on the ballot, do the rest of us a favor and stay home. If you have taken the time to learn something about who and what youll be voting for, then please vote, even if your vote might be different from mine. Point being that there is little value in voting for its own sake, and an uninformed vote is arguably worse than no vote at all. So by all means, lets celebrate the right that we, as citizens of the USA, enjoy to shape our governments at the federal, state, and local levels. But at the same time, let us embrace the responsibility to be informed voters, and to exercise the franchise with due diligence.
