Im going to clarify my previous post for my fans. Because theres a whole lot of hate and lies and misunderstanding being spread around, and I dont think I deserve that just for changing pen names. 1. I never, ever said I was unpublishing any of my books. All my currently published books will remain published. 2. I spent nearly $20,000 caring for my sick mother the past two months. And all I can think, as this situation has torn my family apart, is that I will NOT do this to my own daughter. When the time comes for me to be taken care of, I wont be a burden on her. If you think Im a money hungry author because Id like to be able to care for my mother, and eventually myself, and still be able to send my daughter to college, then Im sorry to offend you. 3. I care deeply about my fans. If I didnt, I would have disappeared without a word. And I wouldnt have given away $40,000 in prizes to my fans this past year. And I wouldnt have five different Facebook groups where I interact with them. And I wouldnt spend thousands of dollars on trips to meet them at signings. I love my fans. But this has nothing to do with them. Their adoration doesnt pay my bills. If my need to support my family offends you, Im terribly sorry that you are so easily offended.
