Im going to disappear into some productivity for the day, but - TopicsExpress

Im going to disappear into some productivity for the day, but before I do, I want to share this, which Ive probably posted and blathered about before. This piece is probably the most accurate musical representation of the creative process Ive ever seen. I dont mean the work-ethic part of it, but the inspiration and creative high that comes on the other side of that work. It starts with chaos and hesitation, tinkering and experimenting -- until theme and pattern emerge, and the creative flow hits. And theres order and intensity and beauty, for awhile, until it all starts to unravel into frustration and chaos again. Order re-emerges, for awhile, but subdued and tempered by the rough middle of the journey, until it finally settles down to a less frenetic, but more coherent, pace. You might find this pretentious or nonsensical, and thats okay. But the first time I saw it, regardless of the musicians intent, I felt like I instantly understood what was going on. I didnt ask why the musician was pounding and slapping the keys -- it just clicked. Even the musicians theatrical expressions of rapture and pain made perfect sense. Anyway, have an awesome morning, wherever you are. (And if you have opinions on how awful TED is or whatever, please drive on.) https://youtube/watch?v=OFSNR8t5KdY
