Im going to geek out for a second! Last night we watched Pacific Rim. This summer Andy took Wolfie for a father/son day. I wasnt to worried at the time...the previews looked promising...like they always do, but then turn out to suck in such a disappointingly epic way, so I didnt think Id be missing anything. Andy sure held out on me...BEST sci-fi action robot movie EVER!!! I loved it. I could see no plot holes (Im sure they exist, but they were not so hilariously obvious like so many other movies lately), there were just enough comic bits, but all referenced or in homage to another movie, the effects were amazing! Which makes me doubly sad to have skipped this one in the theater!!! Godzilla, Voltron, Power Rangers, Robo-Cop, Alien, Terminator, etc. Just LOVED it. I think to make up for it, Andy bought R.I.P. for me today, a movie I had also wanted to see this summer, but goes vetoed :) Fully prepared to embrace the cheese-sauce with this one...Jeff Bridges? Cmon!
