Im going to make up my own name for Saturday. Super husband - TopicsExpress

Im going to make up my own name for Saturday. Super husband Saturday. I have to shout out for my husband of 26 years who has been through the wringer this year as we have battled this disease. I dont think he missed one day of chemo and he goes above and beyond and most of the time I dont see it until hindsight...makes me feel bad. We went for injections today and went to three different places before we found the right place. He got a wheelchair handed me my iced green tea from Starbucks, it never tastes right when Madison Lynn James isnt working, and drug my walker behind him. He made sure to ask the nurse to look at my bone marrow biopsy site, as it started bleeding last night and he worried about it all night. He made a huge bandage for it, but knew it needed to be seen. The nurse was so kind to me and calmed Butch explaining that it was bleeding so much because of blood thinners and it would be fine. She also equipped him with plenty of changes so he didnt have to worry about that. When we left hospital, his air conditioner went out again on his truck. He had me ride with Mason and we went to our hospital apartment to rest. He has been trying to get it fixed and gotten the wrong part twice. So between checking on me, trying to fix it quickly so Mason can race, and explaining to the workers what part he needs, its been a day. He goes above and beyond everyday and everyday I get aggravated and dont see the good he is doing and so it goes for most of my family. He reads my posts sometimes so I am hoping he see this. I tell him when I remember and apologize when I kick pride out the door but I wouldnt have another to walk this out with. Our God is so big and He gets Butch and I through each day. We both mess up as we battle this sickness, decide what is best for us, and walking this new journey as our girls have left the nest...its rough, but we will get through and God will have the glory as we learn how to take the next step. I have loved this man for 29 years and been married for 26 and on days like today I love him even more. He catches lots of help and opinions and I pray at the end of the day, if nothing else he knows I love him and knows the depth of love the Father has for him.
