Im going to put this out there...and then duck. I dont like a lot of kids shows today. They are very preachy and political and clearly pushing various agendas. TV shows are for *entertainment* or possibly education, IMO. Not for teaching morals or politics. These are just not appropriate topics for young children. And Im not taking one particular side. I dont want my kids seeing pro-gun propaganda anymore than I want them seeing pro-gay-marriage propaganda. Its just not a subject kids can understand yet, and a TV show isnt the right place to introduce those ideas anyway. Ill teach my kids what I want them to know about the world and how to treat other people (which, by the way, is with love, respect, and grace, no matter what -- even if we disagree on stuff). I dont need or want TV to do it for me. On the occasions we choose TV, I just want something simple, cute, and politics-free. Is that too much to ask?
