Im going to stick my very un-popular opioan out there: The whole No Christmas before Thanksgiving thing...we are the only country that celebrates Thanksgiving. Other countries already have malls decked out to the brim in holiday crap, and here we are getting our knickers in a twist and letting it ruin our day when we see twinkling lights and holiday related items. Before Halloween...yes, to soon. WAY to soon. However, I feel a little it in November is not THAT big of a deal. At least not a big enough deal for you to have an hernia over and let it influence your whole day that you have to complain about it. And before I get the whole I work reeetiaaaalll. crap, so did I, for many many years. I have set up those store displays, I have worked a cash register on Thanksgiving, I have been subjected to the five song loop of holiday songs, and I have dealt with that lady in the fur coat who is spewing hate gravy everywhere over the store because we only have 14 candy cane boxs, not 15 like she NEEDS and we need to give her a discount because of the emotional strife we have caused her. I get it. But that is what retail is. Its crappy all year. And that kids is my un-popular opinion I am posting on my OWN Facebook wall. You dont like it, cool. I dont need you to. Continue letting pretty strands of lights and some fake holographic confetti destroy your life. PS: No one thing prompted this. I have just been seeing it a bit more this year with people complaining about it, both in person and on here. I just overall find it silly that of all the things to get knicker twisted about, its this.
