Im gonna take it back to the weekie-weekie old school to remind you guys of some of the cool things you got when you voted for me at Broadacres, Curtiss, Dodson, Banning, CSUN, and CSUDH...huh? what? Some of you have been supporting me for YEARS and you benefitted with THE BEST BEST BEST class and school activities, sold out events, most rewarding community involvement projects, greatest memories, and so much more! Im a DO-ER and I make things happen and I get things done because I have two fingers on the pulse of what the people want and Im diplomatic in the way I go about it and God gifted me with the ability to rally people into action and I was able to convince administrators to allow us to do things that had never been done before and blah blah blah...so enjoy this walk down memory lane and THANK YOU for the years you have stood by me and supported me because none of these hair-brained ideas would have been possible without friends like you who believed in me and helped me... ***this (of course) is a partial list*** Broadacres - the Alice in Wonderland Play no one wanted to do but ended up being SO MUCH FUN...the night hike at Camp Clear Creek, lunch dances Curtiss - the after school talent show, basketball beats at lunch Dodson - the first ever rap contest bc u know pedro wasnt ready yet, the renaissance faire monologues, the ninth-grade lawn CATERED picnics, our 9th grade prom STILL happened in spite of the month-long TEACHERS STRIKE in 1989 which students supported Banning - aside from having THE BEST CLASS for a million reasons and hundreds of amazing events, we were in the GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS for making the WORLDS LARGEST BURRITO (on Avalon, from Anaheim to L Street), I was the first asp prez to translate every PA announcement into Spanish, Unique Image got its first permanent contract to dj our class events, Woodson Hall was named, band uniform telethons, after school talent shows, we were the first HS to initiate exchange dances w other HS CSUN - spoken word at the pub and at common ground which we aired LIVE on valley view news CSUDH - all of the coverage of the faculty issues that lead to the removal of two professors who were not doing their jobs, we were the first campus newspaper to win national awards ***theres much more but u get the point...now, with your support, just imagine the possibilities of what we will be able to do TOGETHER if I make the Executive Board of Local 13???***
