Im guessing that when Eddie Vedder wrote Infallible, he intended the message to be one of pro-collectivism and anti-individualism, with the intended target of the lyrics being the selfish and oblivious individual...in an awesome twist though, if you imagine those same lyrics directed at the conceited and irrational statist, it is perhaps the most perfect defense of Libertarian politics ever put to music, a distillation of the philosophical underpinnings of the movement expressed as a regret for, and plea for retreat from, all of the legion of sins and failures of 10,000 years of oppression and violence in the name of undefinable utopias. Its almost like that tells you something about the projection involved in most critiques of individualism, but I dont want to drag this thing too far down the wormhole, so lets just all agree its an awesome song, and that Arkansas is going to beat Auburn today.
