Im happy to say that on this Saturday (April 12th), I will be giving a short speech & then doing a production and recording tutorial for students at Amherst College. Check out the details at Nomadic Wax Presents: Planet Hip-Hop. This will be my 1st formal opportunity to speak with college students about my experiences as an independent musician & the importance of following ones passions in life. Ill be using MASCHINE for the production tutorial & Pro Tools as my digital audio workstation. Ill be working with the students to construct a beat from scratch, & then Ill record and edit a verse right there on the spot to give them a view of the overall process of creating a song. This event is open to the public. Absolutely free admission! The on campus venue is called The Octagon & were hoping that students from UMass Amherst, Smith College, Hampshire College, & Mount Holyoke College will attend. The event is April 12th, 2014 from 2PM - 8PM. Well close out the event with a concert in which I will be performing a short set including some of my brand new, unreleased songs as well as some classics.
