Im having a heck of a time with getting the info for the family - TopicsExpress

Im having a heck of a time with getting the info for the family from Oland...Ive got some good info about Per August Johansson (b. 13 May 1867 in Persnäs, Kalmar, d. 1 April, 1947 in Källa, Kalmar). Married to a Stina Maria Andersdotter (baptized 29 Jul 1859 in Ljungby, Kalmar; d. 16 June 1953 in Vi, Källa, Oland). They had 5 children-John Leonard, Karl A A (died at age 16), Hildur Maria, Elsa Nanny Konstantine, and Per Martin Edvard (my grandfather). This info is from family records and some collaborating sources from Ancestry, as well as having met Hildur and Elsa, and the son of John (Stanley- still alive - I think in Borgholm, married to Siri). Stanley seems to be a busy guy in Borgholm. Last year, my dad hadnt gotten his usual Christmas card from Stanley (and he was worried- they arent spring chickens anymore), and sent me looking online, where I found a very nice newspaper editor who knew Stanley, and let us know he was alive and well.... card arrived promptly this year :D My dad doesnt know enough Swedish to do the genealogy stuff (though spoke it fluently until age 5), and doesnt e-mail. The guy Im looking for is Johan Persson (Pers father)- Im not absolutely sure thats his name (I know- not very helpful), but it makes sense with Per Augusts last name and first name, as well as roughly the right time period, which is my only place to start. Per Augusts father MAY have been born on 14 Oct 1835 in Köping, Kalmar, and his name is Johan Persson - but that is questionable as the only source Ive found is info from the Swedish Births from the death index- and there are no other names that link him. Just rough time period and location (so essentially nothing). His wifes name MAY be Kristina Maria Nilsdotter. Any ideas? Im running into pure ambiguity on Ancestry with this one. :/
