On behalf of the Human Rights Campaign and the Equality Leaders Selection Committee – Alex Ernst, Britt Kornmann, Claudine Wessel, and Melinda Greene – I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected to participate in HRCs Equality Leaders learning retreat for women on January 23-26, 2014 in Washington, DC! This learning retreat is the core of HRC’s Equality Leaders for the 21st Century Program, which was launched in 2009 to build a powerful community of women to lead HRC as board members and steering committee leaders. The Equality Leaders program is a personally transformative community-learning process for leaders. It is based on the belief articulated by Gandhi and acted on by many pivotal figures in the history of social change – that We must be the change we want to see in the world. You will be among an impressive cohort of 24 participants – all HRC women-identified members and volunteers who come from diverse walks of life and who are ready to take the next steps in their leadership journey.
