Im hearing some concerning rumors in the Regional Justice Center. I do not know of their truth, but the rumors are serious enough to make this post. Since Kephart won the District Court seat, his Justice Court seat is open and will be filled by the County Commission. Word around the Regional Justice Center is that Mary Beth Scows son (a Deputy District Attorney) will be applying for Kepharts vacant Justice Court seat, and that the fix is in on the County Commission to appoint him. I hope that the County Commission will make sure that every candidate gets a fair shot, is evaluated solely on their merits, and that the most qualified candidate is appointed.
