Im hoping that this transparency will help someone. In 1996, when we were working on our first CD, A Life Poured Out, I remember so vividly being concerned as to how we would actually pay for getting it done. We had no investors, no contributors, no one who was standing with us financially. I recall praying earnestly to The Lord and sharing candidly about my fears---But You TOLD us to do this I remember saying. Then I said I need someone to call and encourage us and to make a contribution towards this CD. Right at that very moment, THE PHONE RANG! (Im so very serious!). It was someone that I knew who was actually ASKING US FOR A LOAN! I was floored (silently) at first and wondered if God had heard me wrong. The person needed $30.00 and wanted me to meet him at the metro to give it to him. I talked with Jimmy about it and although we didnt understand what was going on, we sensed somehow that God was at work--(in His own uncanny way!!). Just a few days later, after we GAVE the person the $30.00 (which might seem like a very little bit of money, but when youre making a quality CD in excellence unto the Lord, every penny counts!)--God did something wonderful! You see, the $30.00 was significant because God knew that He had already touched the heart of someone to GIVE us $3,000.00--unsolicted--towards the CD project. Im not one to tell my business, but this is not about me--I had to put the goodness of GOD on BLAST! He has put this on my heart to share--which means someone will be encouraged, motivated, and MOBILIZED by this posting. I sure hope so. Ive got some God-size visions again that Im going to need His help with---but Im learning that if its HIS vision, it will be His provision. Can I get an amen???
