Im in 3 or 4 atheist / agnostic groups on FB with a total of maybe 18,000 members or so. Im not really into being agnostic, but I thought it worth mentioning that from thousands and thousands of posts, Ive never seen a poster make a homophobic comment, use a transgender slur, express views consistent with slut shaming or poor shaming, or in any other way show intolerance toward people freely expressing their personal identity or powerless over their circumstances. Sometimes they curse, though. :) Anyway, it really struck me how much belief systems (including political) seem to influence our perceptions of right and wrong. Maybe its not the best measuring stick, but the lack of the aforementioned hasnt escaped my attention.
