Im in a bad mood, so Im going to say controversial things. 1. Do you think the two nurses who have Ebola will have astronomical medical bills if they survive treatment? I was thinking that the plane ride to Atlanta will be 10s of thousands of dollars. Or will the CDC pick up the tab in a case like this? I doubt it. Does my insurance cover Ebola? (Not that Im worried about getting it.) 2. I do not like that we are always telling little kids the story of how caterpillars transform into butterflies. I mean, yay for butterflies and moths; thats amazing for them. But Im drawing a blank on anything else that transforms! Its a unique case in nature. I guess we could look at tadpoles to frogs, but does anyone ever use them as an example our kids should aspire to? Butterfly propaganda is another example of something a bit creepy turning into something pretty and it only happens to a small subset. 3. This is sort of a cliche now, but I feel like reiterating that I hate The Giving Tree.
