Im in a little town called Walker, just east of Baton Rouge. I spent a rather dreary, windy and a bit chilly morning finishing off my Veterans Day Phantom painting. I didnt get a whole lot done on the painting that day because lots of Vietnam vets came by to see the beautifully restored F-4 Phantom and talk about their experiences with this aircraft. I believe Ive taken this piece as far as I can go in Plein Air. Ive come to realize that cherry-ing up the details in oil on any aircraft is not a on-site thing to do, ha! Anyway, Im here at a Mexican restaurant with chips,guacamole, salsa and margaritas with ESPN on the box and a Cajun/Mexican song in my heart. Aye-yi-yi- EEEEEEEEEE!
