Im in the health insurance business. I talk to CFOs every day that are firing people because they cant afford the looming employer mandate and the current government intervention. Millions are losing their coverage so this boondoggle can survive for a few years. The fact is that the market knew how much premium needed to be charged to cover the cost of providing coverage to the population at large. The insurance companies arent the problem and were never the problem. The cost of healthcare was and is the problem. Obamacare has not one paragraph that in any way addresses the cost of healthcare. The ill informed are excited now because their premium dropped for a few months at the expense of millions losing their plans. However, the fact remains that the cost didnt change and when the implosion inevitably occurs then premiums will need to readjust. Obama is the worst natural disaster to ever hit American shores and this is the best and most obvious shining example of an incredibly failed presidency.
