Im instinctively a Labour loyalist and dont like MPs publicly - TopicsExpress

Im instinctively a Labour loyalist and dont like MPs publicly criticising the party and leadership. They have the ability to confront the leader and shadow cabinet directly, a privilege that not every member has. Ordinary members have a duty to speak out publicly as its one way the leadership can have a sense of the depth of feeling. I do share many of the concerns of some of the critics and find it a depressing time to be a Labour member. I desperately want a Labour government, but firstly I dont see a fantastic job being done to get us one. We have a leadership that isnt providing clear leadership and looks like it is stuck in the distant past, rather than facing the future with confidence. Secondly, Ive got profound misgivings about the direction of the party. We have a lack of policies, which is understandable, but some of those we do have dont appear to either the best for the country or the ones that will help us win. Ill soldier on campaigning as thats what Ive always done, but do so with the least enthusiasm Ive ever had.
