Sunshine from the sun is composed of pretty short Wave lenght radiation, with approximately 10% being ultraviolet (UV), about 40% being viewing and approximately 50% being short wave length near-infrared rays. This Radiation is Absorbed by the objects of the Earth or inside the Glasshouse. In the forcing house, the glass bounces the long Wave lenght Infrared Radiation (IR) back down. This trapped long wavelength Infrared Radiation (IR) is absorbed by objects, which brings about further heating, and the cycle keeps on. In consequence, the Glasshouse acts as solar collectors.
