Im interested in how Wendell B resonates with people of non-western faiths. It seems weve done destruction well in the western world. Religion is implicated here (no surprise to students of human history), mostly as a tool for power and greed. What speaks to me from these passages is this: We are one. To harm one is to harm all, and to harm self. To harm self is likewise to harm all. Exploitation is not working so well for us as individuals or as a whole, so lets stop that now and try compassion, cooperation, and love. Sure, it sounds simple... ; - )
