Im interested to see that this is Audis 2012 vision of a future showroom. They call it Audi City and have plans for 20 stores worldwide by 2015. Motor vehicle manufacturers are an excellent indicator of public acceptance of technology and Audi is owned by the Volkswagen Group. Id describe the experience in this video as Augmented rather than Virtual Reality. I believe that the early adopters in VR will have a significant impact on brand perception and that the volume players will be decisive, now that Smartphones have enhanced the mobility and practicality of app-based VR solutions. The volume players, such as supermarkets, that have long exceeded their grocery provision roots and now represent much of the sales spectrum, such as credit, insurance and mobile phones and service provision, to name a few, will be a key to public inculcation. Tesco - the worlds second largest retail brand after Walmart, by market capitalisation, is already working closely with VR, to build customer experiences. It was not so long ago, that the self-serving checkout was foreign. https://youtube/watch?v=GDdPN6mVLPM
