Im j/c if anyone else finds it odd that people choose to root for other teams once theirs is eliminated? In this case, it seems like so many now want KC to win. Why? Why should I care that KC does well? In fact, for me personally, that would just piss me off even more. You mean to tell me the Tigers would continually fall short since 2006, KC gets in the playoffs for the first time in 29 years with a bunch of young upstarts, and win the whole thing? And thats good for us, how? B/C theyre in the same division? If anything, it makes it WORSE for us. It makes a player pause, and think for a minute instead of overlooking or leaving KC. No, they dont have the Tigers budget, but I dont see how rooting for a rival is ever a good thing. Im hardcore, and Im old school. When my team is eliminated, I dont feel the need to latch onto a different team. Ill watch as a baseball fan, but I no longer have a dog in a fight. What are your thoughts in general on rooting for other teams, or specifically, a rival?
