Im just gonna put this out there because it has been nagging at me. In Frozen, it really, really gets on my nerves when Elsa accidentally hits Anna in the head with ice, which is the inciting incident that heightens her fear of her powers (and fear is what makes her powers uncontrollable). Its Annas fault she got hit! She was not listening. Elsa was telling her to slow down, and she impulsively (as her character does throughout the movie) just does whatever she feels like. Same situation at the ball, when Anna impulsively and without thought brings up the personal matter of marriage in front of an entire room FILLED with people. That is a family matter and shouldve been addressed privately. Again, Anna is at fault. Now, that is her character, those are her traits, but the parents at no point address that Annas behavior was largely to blame for the accident. Instead, they misinterpret the trolls warning, and do the exact WRONG thing with their daughter, Elsa. Instead of teaching her to control, they taught her to suppress. In addition, because Annas behavior was never addressed, she was never aware of her character flaw and never aware that she needed to change it. Anyway, just saying. Every time that scene is on, I get really upset with Anna, and Ive never heard anyone voice that. I still enjoy her character, but there is a lot going on underneath that gets totally overlooked.
