Im just in Kumasi, for visiting some school. Because im planning to hold Chocolate making WS there end of this month, so just explained about our project to the people in this school, which some of JOCV from JICA are working at as a teacher. Through talking him who will offer cocoa beans for this event and also be a father of one of the students in this school, i recognized his farm had some damages from abnormal weather in Western Africa this year. We have too much rain almost everyday though now should be drying season. Because of that, his quantities of harvested cocoa were quite small in this main crop. Also he says that he doesnt have enough chemicals for protecting cocoa from some diseases. Current government has still stopped to give some chemicals to farmers in Ghana. Oh, aden? Why government forces small Ghanian farmers be suffered? There are many farmers who cant send their kids to school in this semester because of lack of money. We should see the reality of farming in Ghana, not see reality in just news. reality is only in just their voice. This voice gives us some ideas what we should do for them. Tomorrow ill go back to my village. Already ive missed my families there soo much. Oh god, please give me more time to stay with them.
