Im just thinking out loud! I had a professor at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary pose a thought provoking question/statement. We often state concerning Israel, that we should support & be a blessing to them as a nation. We often misquote the word in saying the GOD said I will bless those that bless Israel & curse those who curse Israel. Ive yet to find THAT particular verse. However I do recall God saying that concerning Abraham in Genesis chapter 12. But even if God intended for us to do that, help me out w/ something. Which Israel is God referring too that we bless & support? Is it the pre-Egypt Israel, the ones who love & worshiped Jehovah God or post-Egypt Israel who turned their backs on God & went a whoring after other gods? In reading the book of Jeremiah & other prophets like Hosea, God often was DISGUSTED w/ Israel for rejecting Him. Not to mention it was the same Israel that denied JESUS Christ & crucified Him. Im just wondering! And Im sincerely NOT trying to start an argument or debate. I really want to know. Are we as a CHRISTIAN nation obligated to bless & support a Jewish Nation whose religion rejects the deity, sovereignty & resurrection of our Savior Jesus? Which Israel are we too support? The OLD TESTAMENT ISRAEL OR THE NEW TESTAMENT ISRAEL? Just thinking out loud!! I YET LOVE ISRAEL. JUST REALLY WANT TO KNOW.
